Introducing Stacey Stewart, Midwife.

Hi, I’m Stacey Stewart, an Endorsed Midwife running a pregnancy clinic out of Cocoon Acupuncture. I am able to offer continuity of care for women and families throughout their pregnancy from conception through to 6 weeks after birth. As an Endorsed Midwife I am able to order any blood tests or ultrasounds you may need or choose throughout your pregnancy and can prescribe pregnancy-related medications. You do not need a GP referral to see me and Medicare Rebates apply for all appointments for Medicare-eligible women. Each appointment is at least an hour in length allowing plenty of time for you to ask your questions and for us to develop a trusting relationship together.

I support women who are birthing at home, as well as those birthing in the public hospital system. I am able to provide care or support through labour, or simply pregnancy and postpartum care for those not wanting or needing birth care/support.

There are many benefits to Continuity of Care with a known midwife, which is globally considered the Gold Standard of pregnancy care for women and babies. Some of the benefits include personalised, safer care that is individualised to your needs, wants and fears, higher rates of spontaneous vaginal birth, less unnecessary interventions in labour and birth, lower rates of premature birth, special care nursery admission, postpartum haemorrhage and episiotomy. Women who are cared for by a known, trusted midwife throughout their pregnancy and beyond report higher rates of satisfaction and are more likely to view their birth as a positive experience. They are also more likely to establish breastfeeding and meet their personal breastfeeding goals.

Investing in a known midwife is an investment in yours and your baby’s physical and emotional health. If you are curious to know more about me you can book a free zoom chat on my website at www.beempoweredbirth.com.au or contact me on info@beempoweredbirth.com.au or 0403 777 280 to make an appointment to meet me face-to-face.
